Japanese Feudalism was based on the ideas of the Chinese philosopher Kong Qiu or Confucius (551-479 BCE). Japanese Daimyo and European Feudal Lords both built stone castles that were protected by Samurai/Knights. Both Samurai and Knights used swords, wore Armour and rode horses into battle. In both Medieval countries, soldiers were important because of the constant declaration of war. Both Feudal systems had lower and poor classes (eta/peasants). Both of their Feudal systems had a leader (Emperor/King) and lords. Both Medieval Japan and Medieval Europe had a Feudal system.
